Zoe-perry
Perry is Perry is a Chicago native who was she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback), her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. Fearing stress, her parents didn't want to see performing before turning age 18. Perry acknowledged that she was not comfortable acting in high school, but started doing it to connect with new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry was able to land small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent when she finished her degree. However, her homesickness caused her to move to California to return, where she started working in the stage. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway as a couple for the play The Other Place, in 2013. Perry was in the show with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 in The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. Perry was also featured in an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal with her father. The same year, she portrayed a child character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother in a younger version. The character was picked via auditions though she had a close association with it.
